The Mission is one of the best-connected neighborhoods in the city. It has two BART stations along Mission Street (16th and 24th), putting downtown, the East Bay, and the airport a quick ride away, plus frequent Muni bus lines along the major corridors. The neighborhood is flat and extremely bikeable, with some of the city’s most-used bike routes running through it. Between BART, buses, and bikes, most residents find a car more hassle than help.
